In Cambridge First or Cambridge Advanced, you might be asked to write a write-up. But did you know the thing that makes an article not the same as other forms of writing?
1 The reader is identified
An article is similar to a direct conversation with the reader. The exam question may let you know who your readers are. As an example, the students at a school, or even the people residing in a town or people that are enthusiastic about sports. Anything you write must speak to that particular reader and engage their interest from the comfort of the sentence that is first.
2 It offers to obtain attention
